L. Klein will be back in action... and Pirates will look for his offensive magic!
Somehow, your beloved Pirates (1-1-0) of Summer are still here! Even with: an inactive website rendering the team irrelevent to the press (though @DigruntledFan1 and @PirateGoalie29 have been keeping the Twitterverse alive); an onslaught of injuries, forcing numerous line adjustments that even Mike Babcock could not dream of; a lacklustre regular season finish, and stretching a losing streak to three games after their first playoff game. But... they are still here... fighting for The Cup! Can you dig it? CAN YOU DIG IT?!

Tonight, at 6:00pm pm on Rinx 3, and minus Captain Sousa (and 83.333% of their defensive core), the Bucs will take on their fierce rivals, The Cyclones (1-1-0). And you can't say the sting of last winter's Pirate Cup shootout victory hasn't worn off for the stormy ones! You know they, and Nyhof, will bringing everything to the rink tonight!

But, that's playoff hockey, right?! If there isn't drama... it isn't playoff hockey.

Sadly, T. Turner (sabbatical), who's impressive 52-game Iron Man streak will come to an end tonight, is off chasing his dreams and will be missed on the blue line, along with recently retired J. Klein. Oh, and also C. Besant, J. Besant and Sousa are also unavailable. Can you say, "short some quality D men?"

Mola and J. Sager are available to fill in, and Gallivan and L. Klein will be back in action. Regardless, it's going to be another night of fiddling, and as little as 10 or 11 skaters on the ice.

We know, however, that whoever shows up tonight will want to skate the Pirates into the Cup Final. One shift at a time... one stride at a time. Let's get it done, Mighty Pirates! Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!
