Big things were expected from Hoekman, who rounded out his junior career as the 2002-2003 Westwood Scoring Champ (or, "Chimp", as has been printed on one of his trophies).
Well, he delivered in 2003 and 2004, leading the Monday Canadian Division in scoring for both seasons. His booming shot, and laser-accurate passing ability is a key to the Pirates' offensive punch.
