- Game 6: The Mighty Pirates (2-2) were facing elimination against a team they hadn't beaten all year! The Loch Monsters (3-0) were also unbeaten in these playoffs, affording them the luxury to play a very relaxed game. In the end, the Monsters held on for a 5-3 victory (including an empty-net goal with 3 seconds to play), claiming the 2004-05 Starbucks Cup without needing the extra game. The Monsters beat the Pirates in the exact same fashion as their previous 3 meetings. And, while the Mighty Pirates finally scored more than 2 goals against the Nessies, the Monsters' tenacity, most often featuring all three forwards in deep, once again found more ways to score. Hats off to the Monsters!

- Game 5: The Mighty Pirates (2-1) knew they had to score big and score early! And, that's exactly what they did! The Tigers (1-2) played a determined game, but couldn't find a way to beat the Pirates' star keeper. The Tigers cleared out their lockers ... their season was done. The Pirates moved on to the Finals where they met the Loch Monsters (2-0), a team they hadn't beaten all season.

- Game 3: The Mighty Pirates weren't been able to beat the Loch Monsters all year long, and in Round 2, their luck didn't change. The Monsters battled consistently hard all night, while your heroes slowly seem to (gasp!) get more tired as the game wore on. That is, until overtime. The Pirates came out with intense pressure, but couldn't get the early OT winner. The Monsters did find a way with 2:01 to play, and they moved on to the Finals. The Mighty Pirates had to play the Tigers (1-1) in a sudden-death elimination match in Round 3 to get the chance to fight for the Cup!
- Game 4: The Original Chiefs (0-2) proved that winning the division title isn't all that important. The Chiefs simply seemed out of gas, and the Tigers (1-1) saw their chance to pounce, routing the Hanson Brothers 4-1. So, as the Chiefs shine up the golf clubs, the Tigers have no time to revel in their victory ... they meet the Mighty Pirates (1-1) in a sudden-death elimination match in Round 3 to try and get through to the Finals.

- Game 1: The division's leaders in penalty minutes squared off for Game 1, but this was all about the hockey! The Loch Monsters and Original Chiefs battled each other hard all year long, including an emotional 3-2 win for the Chiefs during the final week of the regular season. This game was no exception. The score was deadlocked at 2-2 heading into the 3rd period, but the Monsters struck for two quick goals midway through the frame, and held on for an impressive 4-3 win over the 1st place Chiefs. The Monsters moved on to play the Mighty Pirates in Round 2, while the Chiefs played a single-game elimination death-match with the Tigers!
- Game 2: The division's top two goaltenders locked horns in Game 2, but this was all about the goals! There wasn't much to choose between the teams, and the scoring went tit-for-tat throughout this playoff thriller. The emotionally charged game had Captain Mola's heart-rate through the roof! During the final 2 minutes, the Tigers scored with their goalie pulled on a man-advantage, but they just couldn't buy the equalizer as the clock (buggy as it was) ticked down. The Pirates moved on to play the Loch Monsters in Round 2, while the Tigers played a single-game elimination death-match with the Original Chiefs!
