In Game 5: Their season series was tied, but people across the country were remembering the ugly 1-8 beating YTV bestowed on the Mighty Pirates in February. But it was the free-wheeling excitement of their earlier meetings this season that found it's way into this game. In the end, YTV found a way to win. They moved on to play Slowetry in Motion in Round Four, while the Pirates handed their jerseys over to their summer counterparts!
In Game 6: Venom won the season series, but only on a technicality (I.D. Spot Check!). But with Slowetry in Motion riding an 8 game winless streak, and being trounced 2-7 by the Zig Zags in Round Two, things didn't look so good for the #2 seed. Somehow, they got it together for the biggest game of their season. They met YTV in Round Four, with less favourable results, but at least they eliminated Venom.

In Game 3: YTV was on a roll and hadn't lost in 6 games. But, the Goldmembers, who have the fewest face shields in the division, had won 8 straight! Each of their 3 previous games had been low-scoring affairs, and this game was no different. YTV meet the Mighty Pirates in a Round Three elimination death match, while the Goldmembers take on Zig Zags in Round Four for a chance to jump to the finals.
In Game 4: Slowetry in Motion had the youth and speed, not to forget the sparkling 1.91 GAA of netminder Markle, but they just couldn't match the grit and positioning of the Zig Zags! ... The fact that S.I.M. were winless in 7 games heading into the post-season didn't seem to help their fragile psyche either. Slowetry in Motion will meet Venom in a Round Three elimination game, while the Zig Zags take on Goldmembers in Round Four for a chance to jump to the finals.

In Game 1: It doesn't seem to matter who they play, but Venom always seem to play it close. Three of four games against YTV this season have ended in a tie, and this game went down to the wire once again. With a solid team game, and by staying out of the box, YTV held the threat of Venom ringer Birkenblit at bay. Both goalies were solid, but only one team could come out a winner. YTV will face the red-hot Goldmembers in Round Two, while Venom got the week off before meeting Slowetry in Motion in Round Three
In Game 2: Until the second week of March, the Zig Zags were 4-0-0 versus the Mighty Pirates on the season, and had outscored them 25-10 in the process ... but, the 8-4 Mighty Pirate victory in early March sure had the odds-makers scratching their heads! Well, they got back to their winning ways with a 6-0 thrashing of your heroes, who only managed three shots! The Zig Zags move on to face the ice-cold Slowetry in Motion in Round Two, while the Mighty Pirates have a week off to think about what they've done! They moved on to face elimination against YTV in Round Three.
